Resource Updates!

Posted February 7th, 2021 in Important!.

Hello all,

Over the past few months it has come to our attention that our resources page could benefit from a few more crucial connections. While we do have a good basis of local resources we have decided to add a few that anyone, anywhere could use! This includes The Trevor Project, Trans Lifeline, LGBT National Help Center, and the National Runaway Safeline. It is important to provide these resources because we want to be proactive. Together each resource offers services including but not limited to suicide prevention/intervention, crisis intervention, coming out help, workplace issues, issues surrounding bullying, peer support, etc. We want there to be no question of where to go when you need somewhere LGBTQIA+ friendly!

Want to know how YOU can help?

We need your help in figuring out which local businesses are LGBTQIA+ inclusive and friendly. This could be anything from a dentist, doctor, retail shop, employer, therapist, mental health agency, auto shop, contractor, anything health related, etc. So… you guys get the picture. We are looking for anything!

If you have the time, we would appreciate this greatly. One business makes a difference in providing our Wilmington’s LGBTQIA+ community with opportunities. The Frank Harr Foundation will then followup with the business to get their approval of being listed on our resource list, and it is really that simple!
