I am a student at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington in the Masters of Social Work program, and I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of The Frank Harr Foundation. Coming to North Carolina from Southern California, it took me quite a while, and involved many moves, to find a place that felt comfortable. That eventually happened after moving to Wilmington and beginning school at UNCW. I found my niche and my people, and The Frank Harr Foundation plays a substantial role in why I am proud to call Wilmington my home.
I deeply believe in the mission of this organization. As a member of the LGBTQIA community myself, I recognize the lack of LGBTQIA resources in the area and am very excited to have a role at The Frank Harr Foundation aiding in bridging that gap.
