The LGBT Dementia Experience: Presentation and Roundtable

October 7 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Event Navigation

Learn about Alzheimer’s, dementia and memory loss in the LGBT community during this brief community-focused listening/discussion session. We’ll review the basics of these conditions and why the risks are higher for those who identify as LGBT.  We’ll also look at the services of the Alzheimer’s Association and how we can expand the reach of local programs and services. Our special guest speaker will be Jason D. Flatt, PhD, MPH (He, Him, His), an Associate Adjunct Professor at the Institute for Health & Aging, Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences, School of Nursing, University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).  He also presented for the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference.

Bring a friend and share your thoughts about how the Alzheimer’s Association can help more people in your community.
